Any Good Tips?

It's OK to alter your system until you find a way that works for YOU.

I like both spreadsheets and binders, and work with clients that do both.

My favorite spreadsheet is by Paper + Spark. (This is an affiliate link and I do gain some compensation for purchases made through this link at no cost to you.)

Remember the '5 Ws' from school? Do the same here! Note the "who, what, where, when, how much quantity, how much money, etc." of the components so if there is an issue, you know who to contact on your end.

Do the same for finished products so that if your customer has an issue, you know exactly when the product was made (month/year from tracking label) and what the product is (batch code from tracking label).
